Questions

Common questions

How long does a full wash take?

It depends on the size of the car and on what is included. You are told how long it will take when the car comes in, before any work starts.

Will polishing remove every scratch?

Polishing takes out light swirls and dull, oxidised paint. Scratches that go through the clear coat need bodywork, and you are told before we start if that is the case.

Which oil do you use for lubrication?

The grade listed in your car's manual. If you prefer a particular brand, mention it when you get in touch.

Services

What we do to your car

Step 01

Hand wash

Washed by hand with a pH-neutral shampoo, wheels and arches cleaned, and the car dried with microfiber so the paint is not marked.

Step 02

Interior cleaning

Seats and carpets vacuumed, dashboard and door panels wiped down, glass cleaned on the inside and mats washed on their own.

Step 03

Machine polishing

Machine polishing to lift light swirls and oxidation, with the paint checked under light before and after.

Step 04

Lubrication

Oil and filter changed with the grade the manual lists, and the grease points that need it looked after.

Step 05

Wax and paint protection

A coat of wax after the wash or the polish, so water runs off and the finish stays clean for longer.
